The Panama Project

The Panama Project is a three week immersion experience in Panama sponsored by the Seminary Council on Mission (SCOM), an organization representing the eleven seminaries of The Episcopal Church, USA, and the Episcopal Seminary Council of Deans.

All Episcopal students who have completed one year of full-time study at a seminary or all students of Episcopal seminaries who have completed a year of full-time study are eligible.

The immersion experience is scheduled for three weeks in June, 2006. The deadline for submitting an application is December 31, 2005.

Please contact a SCOM representative from your Episcopal seminary or contact the dean of your seminary for an application. You may also email us at pbarton@etss.edu.

The Hispanic Summer Program

ETSS is a sponsoring institution of The Hispanic Summer Program (HSP), which is an annual two-week Master's level course of study primarily for Latino/a seminarians and taught by Latino/a faculty in theological education.  The program rotates to different institutions each year and is attended and taught by Latinos/as of several denominations.  As an ecumenical and pan-ethnic body, the Hispanic Summer Program is sponsored by 34 educational institutions of several denominations throughout the country and Puerto Rico.  The HSP provides several courses in English and several in Spanish.

Latino/a students at ETSS and non-Latinos/as who have a demonstrated commitment to Hispanic ministry are eligible to participate in the program.

ETSS students desiring to attend the Hispanic Summer Program need to take the Greek course in the spring so they can have the summer available for the Hispanic Summer Program course.

The web site for The Hispanic Summer Program is incorporated into this web site.  You can access it directly at www.hispanicsummerprogram.org or clicking here.
